The Unknown Warrior
We are recreating a working replica of an express steam locomotive type – the London Midland and Scottish Railway (LMS) ‘Patriot’ class - which did not survive in the 1960’s, when steam traction ended on the then British Railways.
When complete, it will join a select family of other LMS express passenger locomotives that still operate on our UK railway.

Following a public vote, the engine was named "The Unknown Warrior", after the unidentified soldier who was killed on the battlefront during the First World War.

I’m pleased to share that we’ve formed a partnership with UW to raise essential funds for our project — simply by powering your own home with them.

We have around 800 supporters, so this could raise over £120,000 pounds.
If every supporter also shared this with just one more friend, family, colleague or fellow steam enthusiast, we could more than double this figure again.
Just imagine... if every supporter invited just one more person, every month, for six months. That's only six friends in total, yet the impact is massive - we could raise over £500,000, which is just astonishing.
This new partnership is like finding a seam of Gold to Power the Warrior towards completion.
If we all embrace this and get fully behind it, we can truly transform the Warrior project.
